What Is It?
Setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction goals help companies and organizations set long term strategies to meet their targets. Though this involves many strategies, it is vital to measure and inventory GHG emissions annually to ensure goals are being met.
Benefits
Setting goals allows for tangible targets, which aid in implementing long term sustainability strategies. Once a goal has been set and legitimate strategies are in place, it is much easier to work toward the target. If the decision is publicized, it may increase the likelihood that other businesses and organizations will follow suit.
